This is, for sure, a highlight for me this year. I have been following Simon Sinek for a time now; he is an author and motivational speaker. He also has a TED Talk about the "Golden Circle", a concept he developed related to finding our WHY, that comes from his book “Start With WHY” (Awesome, btw).
I admire and learn from his point of view on leadership, optimism, business, and people. All of this has led me to follow him on social media, getting inspiration from the quotes and speeches he shares, as well as putting that into practice. For instance, I loved the perspective he gave his audience during the pandemic: of optimism and helping others. He also created a section on Instagram called “Thank You Thursdays”, which consisted of letters or videos he received from his followers that wanted to say thank you to someone who had an impact on their lives.
Without giving it too much thought, I decided that I was going to send a letter to Simon. I had this Thank You in my mind for so long and took this opportunity to share it and make it public. I received this advice almost 8 years ago and has stuck with me ever since. I want to say thank you, again, to Salvador, this is one of the best advice I have ever received and I will be forever grateful for having him as a teacher and mentor during my time in the university. I am also grateful that Simon chose my letter to share with his followers.
Here you can watch Simon Sinek reading my Thank You Letter :)
